Concrete Surface Sealing Boise, Idaho
Why Seal Concrete?
Concrete is like a giant hard sponge soaking up water, oil, and other damaging chemicals that can destroy the surface of your concrete. When water soaks into concrete and freezes, during a repetitive freeze thaw cycle, the surface deteriorates leaving pitting and spalling. When using Ice melt, this accelerates the pitting and spalling of your concrete surface.
So what can you do?
Go Green Insulation and Concrete Lifting provides top quality penetrating concrete sealers that usually only need to be applied once. Our concrete sealers provide protection against moisture, ice melts, and other damaging chemicals. Our crew will pressure wash your concrete to open up the pores of the concrete to allow the sealer to penetrate the concrete. This process is also used to remove light stains. Any heavy stains will need to be removed prior to our crew applying the penetrating sealers. The sealer will be applied by spraying a thin coating over the concrete surface. The sealer will be then broomed into the concrete to match the concrete. Once the sealant is applied, the concrete is protected and ready for use within 6 hours. Our penetrating sealers do not alter the appearance of concrete and do not make a significant difference in the slipperiness of the concrete.
The benefits of our concrete sealing system are:
- Prolong surface life of the concrete
- Protect concrete from pitting and spalling

FAQs
-
Why should I seal my concrete surfaces?
Concrete is porous and can absorb water, oil, salt, and chemicals that cause damage over time—especially during freeze-thaw cycles. Sealing protects against pitting, spalling, staining, and surface deterioration.
-
What type of concrete sealer does Go Green Insulation use?
We use top-quality penetrating sealers that absorb into the surface to create a watertight barrier. These sealers offer long-term protection and usually only need to be applied once.
-
Will the sealer change the appearance or texture of my concrete?
No. Our penetrating sealers do not alter the color or sheen of your concrete and do not significantly affect its slipperiness. The surface retains its natural look and texture.
-
How is the sealer applied?
First, we pressure wash the surface to clean it and open the pores for better absorption. Then, we spray the sealer evenly and broom it in to ensure complete coverage that matches the concrete surface.
-
How long before I can use my concrete after sealing?
The concrete is typically ready for use just 6 hours after the sealant is applied—offering fast protection with minimal downtime.
